Donnie McClurkin**Your comments and reviews below**

It's been five years since Donnie McClurkin, one of gospel music's top male vocalists, has released a CD and - needless to say - his million plus fan base is excited to hear from him after the hiatus.   The wait is over, and his new CD We Are All One (Live In Detroit) is set to hit retail bins across America tomorrow.  As a matter of fact, McClurkin's fans in the northeast can plan to meet him at J&R Music World, 23 Park Row 4 in New York, at noon on Friday, April 3 where he will be on hand to autograph copies of their We are All One CD's.  T6 Christmas

On the eclectic CD, McClurkin shares the spotlight with some of his long-time friends in the gospel industry, pulling out all the musical stops when he teams up with CeCe Winans, Mary Mary, and Yolanda Adams on "When We Love;" and teaming with the incomparable Karen Clark-Sheard on the current single, "Wait On The Lord." The single is also available now for download at all digital music stores.

The singer also uses this CD to showcase the extraordinary talents of his veteran background vocalists, Duawne Starling, Andrea Mellini and Sherry McGhee who are all working on their solo careers and featured on "Home Someday" and "All We Ask".

The uniquely titled song, "Purple," was written by Darin Atwater and features Baltimore's Soulful Symphony.  That song was presented to McClurkin in the eleventh hour, but the singer was so moved it had to be added to the project. "I think "Purple" is a wonderful praise and worship song, incorporating the various cultures of music, from the classical to rhythmic beats of the church making it one of the signature pieces on the CD," says the Grammy winning  artist.

We Are All One is not the only exciting thing happening in McClurkin's world.  His ever popular radio broadcast, "The Donnie McClurkin Show" is on the fast track growing in leaps and bounds.  Five new markets are being added to the already existing sixty (60) markets which covers the Top 30 cities in the U.S.   Listeners can check their local listings by logging on to www.donnieradio.com.

On Saturday, June 13, McClurkin will once again take to the stage for the annual McDonald's Gospelfest being held at the Prudential Center, 165 Mulberry Street in Newark, NJ.  McClurkin shares the bill with the likes of Patti LaBelle, CeCe Winans, Regina Belle, Hezekiah Walker, J Moss, Vickie Winans and Cissy Houston.  NYC locals can catch the dynamic gospel singer on Good Day New York bright and early the morning of April 2, to chat about new CD and his appearance at the annual gospelfest.   The lid is being kept on all the particulars, but plans are under way for a larger than life tour that promises to offer more than an hour and half concert set.  McClurkin has this to say about the tour, "Our tour stands to be inclusive of our music as well as community events to reach more than the typical church-goer."

  1. I'm a Donnie fan...regardless...
but nothing tops his last album...sorry Donnie.

I wish that I could've been at the recording.
  2. I mean, it is typical of Donnie...

Since I am a Donnie fan...I will try to get into it...I guess.
  3. When I heard that CeCe was on the album, I just KNEW that it was gonna be the bomb...but I must say, this album just doesn't do it for me.

I like TRUSTING IN YOU though...
  4. Not a fan of this one...
Seems like I've heard the same songs before.

Although, I do enjoy TRUSTING IN YOU and the fact that Mary Mary is on the album.
