Congratulations to Byron Cage. His latest CD, FAITHFUL TO BELIEVE has snagged a spot as the highest debut in Gospel Music this week, landing in the #3 spot on Billboard's Gospel Albums Charts.

Byron Cage’s latest CD FAITHFUL TO BELIEVE is the highest debut in Gospel music this week, landing in the #3 spot on Billboard’s Gospel Albums Chart.  Additionally, the CD hit the Billboard Top-200 chart at #102 – the highest Top-200 debut for Cage – and the accompanying DVD is #6 on the Christian Music Video Chart.

The title track and first single is currently Top-20 at Gospel radio.  Written by Cage along with Aaron and Adrian Lindsey, “Faithful to Believe” is a calypso-infused praise jam that reminds listeners of God’s faithfulness to His people.  Other standouts on the CD include the energetic opening track “I Give You Praise;” “In The Midst” featuring Tye Tribbet; and “Lord You Are My Everything” featuring Karen Clark-Sheard and Marvin Winans.

The one-two punch of “Simply Yes” and the toe-tapping “I Can’t Hold It” provide the churchiest stretch on FAITHFUL TO BELIEVE, with both tracks bearing witness to Cage’s 12-year tenure as Senior Minister of Church Worship and Administration at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington, Maryland.  “My music is so geared towards the church,” says Cage.  “I like songs that have the ability to be sung on Sunday morning and revivals and bible studies, songs that will allow choir directors to teach to their congregations throughout the year.”

FAITHFUL TO BELIEVE is full of musical gems but, in the end, what matters most to Cage is that those who are on the brink of despair can step out in faith and declare the sovereignty of the One who loved us first. “I want people to receive a faith-building message, to remind them that God will supply all of their needs according to His riches and glory,” he says.
