As always, I’m not doing a gossip slant on this– I’m doing a redemption slant cuz that’s what the grace of Jesus Christ is all about.

Apparently, BeBe Winans was arrested yesterday and charged with domestic abuse.  According to court docs, he allegedly shoved his ex-wife to the ground last month following verbal altercation surrounding their children and some custody issues.


My response:

1.  I thank God for grace in MY life because I’m not above ANY sin and it coulda been me.

2. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1).

3. I’m not going there with the whole “he’s supposed to be a minister of the Gospel” bit cuz I typically think it makes people think that artists’ sins are somehow more egregious in God’s eyes than our own.

Having said ALL of that… like…could you NOT, please?!

People, let’s pray for BeBe, Debra (his ex-wife) and the children… and the whole Winans family while we’re at it.  God is a God of redemption, of healing, of mercy and of grace.  Before we jump to condemn, criticize or hate, let’s consider what GOD’S response is… then consider ours.
