 In listening to some of my brothers recently I took note of what came across as a misconception in regards to what qualities women collectively thought were the priority when considering a suitor. Some suggested that a woman could be won by flashing material things. Some suggested that getting the attention of a woman had to do with having a bodybuilder’s physique. Some even thought it was in the level of notoriety and affluence one possessed. Now I can’t speak for all, but for a real Holy Ghost led woman the above is really insignificant in comparison to the spiritual things needed to cover her. Hear my heart; I’m not so holy that I don’t know that those things don’t have their placing but at the end of the day things are just that, things. And I know for some it’s a tough concept to grasp and you may even find yourself wondering, “What does a woman want???” …well, I’m glad you asked (smile). Here it is: A woman wants a man who walks in love. And yeah. It’s that simple. See, love touches the deep places that material possessions can never reach. And as extra churchy as it sounds above all else, a wise woman knows that if her man loves God first, out of the overflow of that love, EVERYTHING else will follow including his love for her. Only then can he speak life over her. Only then can he look past her flesh, and see her heart. Only then can He cover and protect her as Christ does the church. Only then can he carry the mantle that is able to sustain her measure. My God, now catch that one in the Spirit (smile). Anyway, to all of my brothers still trying to figure out what women want, and how to tell if she’s really feeling you and so on. Stay encouraged. Don’t listen to what people say. You don’t have to attempt to impress her with stuff. You don’t have to have a Denzel swagger or even speak with a lot of vibrato. Simply be who God has called you to be and let Him continue to form you that out of your formation hers might emerge. My, my, my. Now that last sentence was so deep I think I might need to comment on my own blog (smile).
