Blackberry StormFolks...we have been reviewing the Blackberry Storm for about a month now. As you may already know, via some of our other stories, this is the first touch-screen Blackberry, which is only available on the Verizon Network.

Well, let's start at the top...When we opened the package, it was clear that they paid alot of attention to detail. What we saw was a beautiful black box, it was clear to us that something WONDERFUL was inside.

Can I tell you, we were not at all disappointed.

The screen/interface of the Blackberry Storm is very user friendly. Personally, I like it because the layout is very clear, and I can customize the layout to my liking. You have all the options for MEDIA (photos and vids), SMS TEXT, Applications like Facebook and Flickr, your set up, clock, calendar, web browser...ghee whiz...need I go on! The point is, is that the phone is already efficiently stocked with all of the applications that you would need.

No need to download anything from the web to get the phone to work. One of the cool features is the HELP feature. No need to break out your computer for help, you can get help for all of the different applications and settings, simply by going to the HELP section.

Another cool feature is the buttons that are on the side of the phone.

Who needs to buy a digital camera?!?!? This phone is equipped with an awesome camera. You feel like you're actually holding a real slim-line camera, with many options, including options to zoom and rename a file for proper storage on your phone. Oh my gosh, okay...so many cool things that we LOVE about this phone.

Let's talk about the VZ Navigator. LOVE IT! We tested out this option many times in search of restaurants and movie theater listings. AMAZING. It was totally accurate everytime. With the movie listings, we were also able to other theaters, show times, ratings, and distance. Who needs an in-car navigation system when you have the VZ Navigator.

Alright, moving on, cause if not, we'll be writing for hours about this wonderful phone. Let's talk about some of the applications: Facebook and Flickr. We found this to be super easy. We had a photo that we wanted to share to show our pals the delicious entre that was prepared for us at the local restaurant...we simply took a picture, clicked on share, then Facebook...and immediately our FB profile was updated.

We have also used this phone for Twitter. One of the tools that we used the most, was the e-mail and text feature. There simply ISN'T at better phone for this...The Blackberry Storm allows you to see more than one e-mail account. You are automatically provided with a Verizon e-mail address. But you can add other e-mail addresses. For our purposes, we used Yahoo and Gmail. What we like about the e-mail display, is that you can clearly see, on your home screen, whether or not you have new messages for any given e-mail account. You can choose to ONLY see the messages for a particular account on the e-mail message display screen, or you can choose to see ALL messages from ALL e-mail accounts in the message display screen.

As it relates to the text...SMS & MMS - we like the display features here as well. For our purposes, it showed all text, mms, missed calls, and Facebook messages in one screen. This was perfect for us because we get tons of messages from various outlets daily.

Okay, we could go on and on...but we're gonna jump to the whole touchscreen - keyboard thing...Sooo....okay, the TOUCH screen, works like a true computer mouse. At first, it was a little confusing for us, but after a couple of hours, we actually prefered this to the typical touch screen. Why, because when you just TOUCH the screen, it gives you the option to see what it is that you are actually preparing to click on. Then you actually CLICK/PUSH the menu option that you want. In my opinion, this helps to ensure that you get the correct menu everytime. When it comes to the keyboard, Verizon has given us 3 entry options - Multitap, SureType, and when the phone is in landscape view, it types just like a regular keyboard. Our preference was the landscape view for texting. But we used portrait for all other options.

We could talk about this phone for hours...but the point of the matter is...if you are in the market for a phone that can totally take the place of your computer, a phone that is robust and full of options, a phone that is sleek and turns heads when people see you with it, a phone that is backed by one of the greatest networks...then you need to RUN to your closest Verizon store and pick up the Blackberry Storm today!!
