The conference consisted of informational workshops facilitated by guest speakers and was closed out with a tribute concert in honor of The Clark Sisters.

Last month, during National Adoption Month, Watts' charity hosted 75 enthusiastic girls at her Foundation's G.L.A.M. (Girls Leadership and Mentoring) Camp at the Pinebrook Conference and Retreat Center in Pennsylvania. Each attendee enjoyed a special time of bonding, sharing, praying, and worshiping, in a fun, safe environment. Testimonials poured in from girls who said it was a life-changing weekend. According to Watts, a greater number of girls and their parents desired to participate, but the Dream Girlz Gathering staff was unable to accommodate a larger group -- something Watts is hoping to change with donations and support from individuals, ministries, and groups interested in linking up with her cause.

"There are so many young girls who need love and guidance and I want to be able to help as many as possible," Watts, who is currently working on her new album to be released in 2012, tells EEW Magazine. Through the sale of the charity single and charitable donations of "Dream Girlz Gathering Angels," the name designated for supporters, Watts anticipates the day when the Foundation will be able to assist more girls.

Emerging recording artist Janice Gaines will appear on a special Christmas Edition of TBN's Praise the Lord, hosted by Pastor Donnie McClurkin, on December 13, 2011 at 10pm ET/7pm PT. Other guests slated to perform include Micah Stampley, Trent Cory, and Beckah Shae.

On Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 7pm music education advocates will gather at The Rutledge in Nashville, TN for the 3rd Annual Maestro’s Benefit Concert in support of music education for Nashville youth. Headlining the concert will be 10-time Grammy award winners Joey Kibble, Mark Kibble, and Claude McKnight also known as The 3 Tenors of TAKE 6. Joining TAKE 6 for the evening is Nashville's soulful songstress and recent American Idol top 40 contestant, Jackie Wilson, and the impeccably talented Prentice Family Band, which has become a staple in the Nashville community with their highly acclaimed Prentice Family Christmas Show.

Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the continued work of the W.O. Smith Music School, which provides first-class music instruction to children from low-income families for the nominal cost of 50¢ per lesson. W.O. Smith faculty are comprised of community volunteers. Instruments and learning materials are loaned to the students at no additional expense.

This benefit concert is the brainchild of Nashville music phenom Melvin “Maestro” Lightford. At the age of 27, Maestro has made quite a name for himself. Known for his proficiency across multiple genres which include pop, R&B, country, gospel, classical, and jazz, this Nashville-bred producer, keyboardist, musical director, and music educator’s resume incorporates everything from working with Grammy Award winning artists such as Michael McDonald, Kirk Whalum, and Alexander O’Neal, to shaping the sound and careers of up and coming indie artists.
